Elveparken - The river park

Lørenskog Rotary club established a series of information boars by Lørenskogstien around Langvannet in 20xx. The information boards have become very popular, and consequently Lørenskog Rotary club wanted also to establish a similar set of information boards along the footpath that had been constructed besides Losbyelva through Elveparken.

Lørenskog municipal has invested a substantial amount in this footpath that follows the bending path of the Losby river with a barbeque location several benches etc.  The footpath has lamps, bridges and several paths leading into the main footpath from other locations making the access to the path easy. The path is relatively open with a good view on the surrounding farms. With information boards along the path, it would become more attractive and probably increase the use of the path.

The footpath was officially opened on the 26th of January 2016.

Lørenskog Rotary club contacted Lørenskog Vest Rotary club. The clubs established a common project to install information boards along the river.

The project has been financed by contributions from Lørenskog kommune and Sparebankstiftelsen in addition to resources from the clubs. Lørenskog kommune has assisted in setting up the foundations for the boards, while the remainder of the work is a contribution by the Rotary members.

Lørenskog municipal also asked the project to set up two information boards regarding the path under the main roads (Sykehusveien and RV 159).
